The 10km hiking trail is almost fl going uphill in only a few places, and is strewn with stones from streams and passes under steep and forested ridges. In spring, perfect bouquets of the in- digenous plant “Rhodope Averlia” make their appearance, as well as other rock loving species. A Stone Theatre has been built in the ravine further south in Petrousa Municipal District, where very successful cultural events are held every summer. You can stay the night in Petrousa.
